About W.H. Construction, Co. and Vaughn Wray, President

Thank you for your interest in our company. Founded and owned by Vaughn Wray, pictured at left, we have been in business since 1981 presently as W. H. Construction, Co. previously as W. H. Construction, W. H. Construction, Inc, and we started as Wray Construction. Our first project as Wray Construction was an Architectural remodel in Olalla including 2 additions, a 2 person thick-set, hand formed, tile bathtub/shower, a ducted home warming fireplace, and new cedar shingle siding on the entire home. We built our first new home in 1983 in Lakewood.

New Construction

Today Vaughn resides with Beth Cross in Lakewood. Vaughn grew up in University Place attending the Curtis School District. As Vaughn grew up his father, Curt, taught him carpentry. Vaughn received journeyman pay out of high school and earned enough in the summers to pay his way through college. Vaughn graduated from WSU in Forest Management. Angela, Vaughn’s daughter, graduated from Western Washington University, Magna Cum Laude, in Woodring College of Education in 2016. She is enjoying her second year of teaching third grade for the Federal Way school district.

Remodels

Our most recent large project is the Wheelers Addition on American Lake pictured at right. Vaughn designed and we constructed the 800 square foot, second story addition over the detached, existing garage. The sloping roof on the right is the stairs to the home. A see through fireplace separates the bathroom from the master suite, see photo in Projects.

The Daniel Amos residence also here in Lakewood, included two new laminate decks and rails, a new roof, 3 bathroom projects, tile floors and more. See Reviews and deck photo in Projects.

Two full home renovations we completed are pictured in Projects. The kitchens are pictured next to the front photo for each.
